Carter independently developed the C4.2 mechanical direct injection engine, without after-treatment devices. Ordinary construction site low-quality diesel can be used normally. Maintenance parts are widely available and the failure rate is low. It differs from the 307D Mitsubishi engine and the 312D2 Cat3054C engine. The 315D L extended chassis is the mainstream in the market. It has a 17.28-ton self-weight and a heavy balance, with strong stability for crushing and hoisting.
